Anyone else can't start their car sometimes?
 

I noticed that I get random days where the car just doesn't want to start... sometimes morning.. sometimes later at night... takes me 2-3 tries to start the car.. feels like when car battery is dead.. but it eventually starts. It happened about 4-5 times total. Anyone else got this problem or is it just my car?

Not a dead battery, but the car will turn over and not fire. Happens pretty much every other day. Usually it won't start until I hold the gas pedal down a little bit while cranking it over...doesn't make much sense on a fuel injected car.

You must have the SSS and the fast key. I have it too and this has prolly happend to me about 3 times. I don't know what it is but I think that it is something to do with a weak signal or no signal from the fast key.

Alot of ppl have had this happen tho.

I've got the SSS and fast key and have never had an issue starting the car. Best of luck determining what is wrong.

I've noticed my FAST key + in pocket with normal keys, blackberry, and iphone=no signal getting out. That's different though; it obviously won't even crank then, just shows "no key".

On the topic of phones and FAST key:

I can actually force my iPhone to make my key lose connectivity with the car!

I've fast key and have never had an issue.

This has posted a few times, but it happens on Evos and Lancers with FAST key once in a blue moon.

If I have my key fob in my left pocket, sometimes the key will lose connection. You'll hear the car begin to crank, then suddenly stop before it fires up. Typically, it'll fire up right away if you try again.

I've had two Xs, and in the combined total of 12k, its happened maybe 4 times.

ok good to know its not something wrong with the car... ya I have the SSS with the fast key.. I keep my cell phone on a different pocket just cause it wont let me open the door together

I have SSS and fast key and have the same problem, at least 5 times in the 3 months that I've owned my car.

My car did the same stupid hard start thing ONCE and today it had a TERRIBLE idle for like 10 seconds. Ive had the car about a month and wonder if I should get worried.

I happens to me too not as much as it used to last week my car when I started it up the idle kept going up and doen like it had bad fuel but once i stated driving it was fine.

i think its kindda normal coz it happened to my friend aswell

Has happened to me as well.. Dealer said it the fast key losing connection. So they bought me a third one for emergency.

This has happened to me several times too... I think it is for sure because of my fast key
