Haven't done the fuel line recall yet

Should I be worried about my car catching on fire?

I haven't done the fuel line recall, the airbag sensor, the fuel pump relay, or any of the TSBs. The airbag sensor is the one that will likely get me to the dealer and risk the warranty being voided. It's a bit unsettling knowing the airbag sensor could be fubared. I don't trust other drivers enough to not have my airbags work properly.

You can probably buy the airbag sensor and do it yourself. I don't think anyone knows the part number yet, but I can't imagine the sensor itself being some big ticket item.

I did the fuel line recall myself, after buying the part. No biggie.

With your luck on the EVO X you should be afraid. You better carry a fire ext. around with you. lol

I want the cold weather AYC diff pump software enhancement...the fuel pump relay would be nice to do also (maybe on my own dime).

I went ahead and had the dealership do the hood latch cable and fuel return pipe, but they did screw up the re-install of the UICP..it blew off on the freeway. i thought it was funny, but I could see others driving in the rain or snow getting a bit miffed at something like that.

ON EDIT: I left my laptop at work and rolled in with a tune...they never plugged in...but I am mechanically stock still..so no issues.

No dealer recalls yet here.
Got a guy I like and trust up in Kentucky, just have to make the time, which is super hard with 2 kids.

I just got the airbag sensor letter, the first letter that I've received. I'm going to have to get that done. I live in MN so if salt messes them up...

On one hand, some of you are extremely paranoid. On the other, there seems to be an equal population who can be best described as extremely negligent. (with some of you managing to fall in both categories)

do you think the NHTSA does this kind of stuff for fun? get with it.

I don't think I'm going to do the airbag recall or the relay. I only did the fuel line because I had a day off work.

My dealer already got the airbag recall parts in for me. I think I'll get them fixed today. I saw the parts when I stopped in last week.. it was just in a small box maybe 5''x5''x5''.

...and it won't be covered under warranty...and you won't be able to sue anybody since you'd been notified. Car insurance generally doesn't cover negligence so they probably won't cover it, either. I've heard that modded cars usually fail to be covered in the event of fires, either, but in this case your car could be bone stock and you'd be S.O.L.

The front sensor kit has 2 of each, sensor, bracket, and nuts. Part #MW400022.
