widening of stock leather seat...?
I have a 34-36 inch waist and the bolsters on the seat bottom dig into the sides of my thighs. It gets pretty uncomfortable at times in the sense that any trip longer than 2 hours is pretty uncomfortable.
Question is... Has anyone had the bottom of the seat widened an inch or two before? |
I dont mean to sound like a dick...wouldnt it be better to cut a size down? it would be cheaper and more beneficial...just my 2 cents

Trade with someone for lancer seats.

I'm a 34-36 and don't even find the seats snug. Odd.

get some mercedes s class will be fine

I'm a 38 waist. Chubby. But also broad shouldered and stout. Seats are fine to me.

I'm heavy..like enough where drag racing dreams are wasted.
Sit in them enough and they'll fit better :-D working for me |

Bolsters on the seatback are fine, and the ones where my ass goes are fine too. Just the forward ones. Regardless I didn't ask everyone's opinion of their waist size and how well they fit in the seat. |

They will widen a little as you break them in |
Welcome to club, Matt, both in having this problem (while not being fat) and in getting a highly useful from Ken in your thread about it. I've tried several "fixes" and the only one that worked was a thin cushion beneath me. On long trips, I also shift the seat forward or back once every 45 minutes or so, to move the point of contact around a bit.

Also my wife is pretty thin. I think around 130lbs. And she hates the seats with a passion. |
I've got about 6.4k miles on the car. I'll deff try the cushion deal and see how it goes. Thanks for the tips!
