Weekend Warrior Evo's
Is it safe to let the car sit 5-days straight and only drive it every once in a while. I know it's an odd question but I have read of people saying that it's bad letting gasoline not circulate or hoses will get dried up and so on. So the question to those of you who use your Evo as a weekend warrior or any other car obviously what do you do? Turn it on maybe the fourth day? I'm probably over thinking it, however; I want to be on the safe side.

5 days isn't long enough to have that sort of problems.

Maybe if you let it sit for months but not 5 days

What they said. My car sits for 2 or 3 weeks at a time sometimes before loaded on the trailer for a race. I unplug it from the battery conditioner, pull it out and let it warm up for half an hour or so before loading it while I wash it, and I haven't had problems yet....

Same here, sits for weeks, charge the battery and ready to race.
Only issue is over the winter. We drain the block and radiator, add some Prestone, add fuel conditioners and run it for a minute, then away she goes for a few months. |
Makes me feel better now, thanks for all the replies. {thumbup}
