Do 2011 MR's have heated seats standard?
Hello Guys, I might be working my way back into an Evo. A 2011 MR.
I'm trying to find a decent list of standard options on the 2011 MR but haven't been able to find a good comprehensive list. Some places say heated seats are standard and that they are partial leather, but the one I looked at had seats that were not heated and were a mix of suede and cloth. So maybe this is just a model year thing. I also thought the MR had a chrome front grill surround, this car does not. It should have bluetooth as well shouldn't it? What option packages were available on the 2011 MR? Just the MR Touring? Oh, side note. The car also appears to have some lowering spring on it, Do you think that will ruin the handling or improve it? Thanks for any help. |

I own a 2010 Evo MR in Canada and it's fully loaded with chrome. I ended up changing out the chrome for GSR trim myself cause the chrome IMO looks terrible and peels super easy.

No, the heated seats only come with the leather seating in the Touring package. And yes, all 2010+ Evos have bluetooth standard.

There were three packages available on the 2011 MR:
Premium Touring Navigation If I remember correctly, the Touring package added the heated seats. Touring also got you the full leather seats. I think all MRs have the Bluetooth. Not 100% positive on that. Mine has it, but I also have all three of the available packages. I do have my original window sticker and can scan it for you if you want to be 100% sure of what came stock and what came with each package. All 2011 MR's came with the chrome front grill trim, chrome window trim, and chrome fog light trim. However, it is also one of the first things people get rid off. The chrome window trim is very easy and cheap to remove. You simply switch the chrome window trim strips out for the black ones that come on the GSR Evos. Costs about $40 bucks and takes about 10 minutes to do. The chrome front grill trim and fog light trim are a little bit more difficult. You can swap out the chrome grill trim with a black one from the GSR, but I found it easier and cheaper to simply have the chrome grill trim and fog light trim covered with matte black vinyl wrap. I have had it on there for about a year or so now and still looks like new. In regards to the lowering springs, I guess it depends on what springs they are. I have the Swift Sport springs (lowers about an inch) and have found no difference in ride quality. However, if you go much lower than that you may find it has a more harsh ride. PLEASE make sure you have a PPI done on the car to determine what, if any, other mods have been done. Lowering springs are a big red flag that tells me other things may have been upgraded or modified. Upgrades and mods are not a bad thing when done right, you should just have a full understanding of what you are buying prior to purchase. |
Yes, the springs were a red flag to me too. The rest of the cars looks completely stock, but who know what was on it. It seems odd that someone would only do the springs..
I would love to see a window sticker if its not too much trouble...

Yup the base 2011+ MR is basically the same car as the 2010 SE, minus the BBS wheels.
No chrome trim, no color matched vents, cloth seats, no center console cubby doors, etc. Basically a base GSR with SST, Bilsteins, Two Piece rotors and BBS wheels. (handling package in Canada and Europe, sans BBS wheels) |
