Car won't start
 
Ok could use some help today.

I have an Evo X GSR 2008 with 48k miles on it. Car does have mods but nothing has been changed in nearly 2 years.

I moved the car last night and it started with no problems. I have driven the car about 400 miles in the last 4 days with no issues. It has only seen 93 octane gas.

Battery has been fully charged and tested at Advance Auto Parts. It's the red Optima putting out 679 cca.
I pulled the plugs, they look ok. I tested each ignition wire, coil pack and spark plug for spark. All successful.
I have checked all the fuses under the hood and in the cabin.
I have the most recent relay package (all new blacks) installed. I tried swapping a few and it didn't change anything.

Thoughts?

Makes matter worse I'm not at home so I don't have all my tools or old parts to swap

Can you pull a plug and sniff (for fuel)?

Check for air/spark/fuel. I had my etacs unit fry itself and the car would crank but not catch. I had spark fuel and air with no codes initially. If you can try to connect with a reader or tactrix it might help.

I have spark and fuel. Not sure what you mean by air? As in check the intake pipes?
Does the video of my car do exactly what yours did before the etacs unit was replaced?
Did you finally end up getting codes?
Laptop is at home but I do have my tactrix cable with me.....

Immobilizer? Key FOB failure? It seems unlikely that it is mechanical if it started normally and now doesn't start at all. I have seen other posts wherein people seemed to describe similar problems that turned out to be the key. I can't recall how it was fixed though, maybe their spare? Can you get that to try?

Hey Johnr352. Thanks for the reply... I'm still stumped.

The car will not turn over if the fob doesn't work. I've verified this by using the key out of the fob and trying to start it and the car doesn't even crank.

Granted, I don't have the other key with me to try that. I can see if I can find another key fob battery but the fob has no problem locking doors or opening the trunk.

Well, I can't imagine the other FOB would be different. You're not out of fuel or something dumb are you? I'm stumped.

Well since I was out of town and limited time and tools I just had it towed to a family friend's shop. Guy was super nice and the tow company took extra care of the car.

The engine was flooded. The mechanic said the gas in the head would break away the oil on the cylinder walls basically leaving me with no compression. He took out the spark plugs, cleaned them and dried them. Dried out the head and applied some oil from the spark plug holes. He had to do this 4 times along with a jump pack before it started. I only did the routine once.....obviously not enough.

After an oil change I was on my way.

Side note to those out in cold areas......don't start the car, drive it into the garage and turn it off. Let it warm up first before shutting the car down. This is the only thing we could determine as to how I flooded the engine. I've done this before but flooding the engine has never happened.

could have had a fuel injector stuck open
