Phone Mount
Pretty simple question, but can't find anything through search. What phone mount do you use, and how do you like it?

Magnet vent mount from amazon. works just fine, no issue at all other than my phone blocks the vent....
|
Be sure the mount uses a locking clip otherwise it will just fall right off when you drive around a corner.

always wondered this too. main gripe with the vent phone holder is that it blocks the air.. given. especially in this given messed up SoCal weather. with an adhesive mount I feel that the day I want to remove it it'll look ugly and discolored because of the sun or adhesive. picky I know. I was thinking about a mount on the rearview just like a radar unit would sit. it would be easily visible and would probably get stopped often haha. will be looking at this thread hoping for a solution!

I've been really happy with the Logitech +drive windshield mount. I have it as low as possible in the bottom left corner of the windshield and it's easy to see. It hasn't let my phone go under acceleration or cornering so that's a win in my book.

I have a pretty generic suction cup mount - clamp holder which I stuck under the environmental controls to the floor of that space in front of the shifter. It keeps the AC vents from being blocked and keeps there from being too much stuff in the window. Its not too inconvenient to glance down at if you need a map, or are changing songs etc. I have the accessport suction cup mounted in the bottom left corner of the window and anything else low on the window looked cluttered and out of place if its not in that spot.

I use RAM mount. Very expensive, but very high-quality which is what the Evo deserves. Take a close look at how beefy the mount is and you will know they mean business. |
Magnetic mount. I have one with an adhesive backing that's stuck on the interior trim piece between the steering wheel and hazard light area. It's fairly tucked away, doesn't block my vents, and is comfortable to see if I need to use GPS or need quick access to my phone.
