Shift rod clamp?
Not sure what its called, but wanted to ask if anyone knows if there is such a thing available.. basically a rod that attaches to the shift rod threads, that brings the shifter closer to the driver without making it significantly taller. I already run a short shift kit that has a tiny bend in it towards the driver. Wanted something like this.. without the height and other stuff.
Thanks. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.evo...0cfc146be6.jpg |
I have the same exact " likewise " shift extension but the actual shift knob isn't that model. I got the Neil Diamond shifter. Check out their website, it'll be much easier to figure out what you want.
Plus, the attachment that the actual shift knob is sitting on is adjustable with height and position. You'll be able to make it shorter than sitting so tall. https://www.wearelikewise.com. |
Thanks for the response. I actually was on their site. Looks like I can't run a shift knob I want, but have to go with one of theirs. How low of an adjustment does it allow? I have a short shifter, which I prefer the low height of. I just want the knob to sit further towards 7 o'clock.

Well since with the clamp, you can adjust it in any height or position, I’ll just attach photos. Sorry don’t have a tape measure on me but I use a monster can as reference. I don’t have a short shifter installed and this is a 2016 base model lancer. I tightened the front clamp that screws to the actual shifter too tight so I can’t loosen it to show you, but you can probably reference the can haha. You can also probably just clamp the actual short shift instead of using the screw on part. https://www.evolutionm.net/g/album/11300946 |

Thanks for the info and pics! How do you like yours? And do you think at the lowest setting the shifter position will rest at a similar height as without the clamp.. or does it sit higher?
