Interior Door Trim
Does anybody know were to purchase the black door trim that is on the inside of the front doors? Ebayers are only selling the whole interior door panel.

Run your model through this site. They sell Mitsu parts as well. We have had a few members use them w/very good results

Good website, but the trim peice I’m looking for isn’t available through them either. |
Yeah, looking at the Mitsubishi parts system, the trim isn't available separately. Your best bet is going to be trolling the forums and Facebook marketplace for someone parting out a car.

Finding the same thing, thanks.

If it's just a matter of that trim being busted up somehow, you could cover it with automotive vinyl. Don't even need to remove it from the door, it's fairly easy to tuck it around the edges.

What I’m wanting to do CF trim. While I like the piano black trim, it’s so boring (black on black on black with gloss black). My thought was to sand down some OE trim before adding the CF sheet. The reason for sanding down the trim is not to add any addition bulk to the trim. That would produce a more OE look rather then how the overlay kits look. |
If that's the case, any last-gen lancer door trim should work, I would think. Makes a parts-yard search easier and cheaper for sure! Just check your local pick-n-pull wreckers regularly.

The trim does have some lines/creases to it so you'd have to make sure to retain those when sanding it. Not sure how thick the CF you're putting on is, but normal vinyl is very thin, doesn't add any thickness, the pieces snap right back in.

I thought about the vinyl route as it would only take about an hour and cost substantially less. But... it’s vinyl and the real carbon fiber looks so much nicer. A 3k plain weave or twill weave is approx. 0.25mm thick. |
