There is a writeup I found for a lancer...I assume the structural metalwork is pretty similar in the front...he bent one of the brackets and used and existing screw to bolt it down...I would have to pull my shroud to get a pic...that's why I was hoping to see yours to I could make up my mind

I pulled the shroud on my '13. There is very little room however I might have found some spots for symmetrical mounting.

Post a pic of your setup.

Alright guys, per request, here are some pictures of my basic install. I'm pretty sure this is as simple as it can be. I have no idea where you'd stick the second horn

Let me know if you have more questions.

I managed to mount both horns with some bracket bending and trimmed away some inner plastic shrouding (does not show from the top at all). I know they're not symmetrical, but I don't care, I don't have OCD and it's not a show car. It had seen more cones than car show judges.

Can u post some pics from the front? Is there another method of removing the plastic cover (that does not involve cutting)?

Here's a no cutting install:

One is using the stock mount, the other I grabbed a piece of perforated aluminum angle stuff (not sure the real name), bent a little "U" to space it out from an existing bolt.

The teeth have a couple threaded rivets through them with a washer and nut on the back holding them in.

Does anyone know how or what is the best route for connecting the power wire from relay to battery, since the battery is in the rear of the Evo X?

So does the EVO X have a secondary horn? Also, was the single horn loud enough as if you do not need second horn for decent functionality?

Secondary horn is located underneath the driver side headlight. on the right hand side of the intercooler if facing the front of the car. Looks exactly like stock one that is in the front. Late reply LOL

You do not need a relay. They draw 12A on the factory 15A circuit.
I managed to get mine installed in the center of the grill using a piece of aluminum flat stock but it did require some plastic air guide trimming.
