I have been thinking about this as well since I have done every other car I have ever owned. I think I might be leaving the red MR on there. I think I am gonna do the $5 Mudflaps today as well!

I did mine yesterday with the hairdryer/fishing line combo. Even with some adhesive left on the trunk, I was able to heat it up a bit and just roll it off without using the goo gone. After a quick wash and wax everything looked brand new

How I took my badges off...

1. Hairdryer to heat up the badge
2. Fishing wire to detach it from the trunk
3. Index finger to rub the factory adhesive/glue off(roll it off with your fingers)
3. A little bit of spray wax to the area

Used dental floss and some goo-gone. Worked like a charm for a first mod with the car only 2 days old!
