looks so much better now. i hate the dinky wing on evo. either go big or go wingless. if you're wingless, you better be lowered.

Great write up and sweet ride! Can't wait to get that wing installed on my car. I really don't like the smaller one. Thanks

So only two bolts is enough to hold it? You don't need the third? I bought this wing off a friend, and he only gave me two bolts with it for each side.

Also, what did you do with the plastic peg things? Just pitch them?

And can people put the stock wing on a trunk with the lip spoiler and still line it up with the guide holes on the inside of the trunk?

Sorry I haven't been on here forever but if you didn't see me use or mention it during the install then I didn't use it. I don't recall any plastic risers then again I did this install 3 years ago :/

You should be good with just 2 bolts. I just did my install on Saturday.

Great write up. Hopefully I get a SSS wing soon, so I can do this install.

Thanks to the OP. After having my high rise sitting around for over 2 years I finally did this. Not a problem with the lip spoiler as it doesn't touch it.

Great write up, this will come in handy (hopefully) soon!

I just have one question for you (or anyone who knows): How easy is it to disassemble the SSS/GSR/big wing to repaint it? I'd like to remove all the black plastic parts to prevent the painters from messing it up. If it's easy, I will buy any color wing I can find, but if you can't do it, I'll have to keep my eye out for that elusive Octane Blue wing!

Bonus points: Is that a Rexspeed or similar Ralliart lip replica?

Any chance anyone can help me locate the plastic alignment pin and the third bolt? I know where the outer 2 bolts go on each side, and might be able to figure out the third bolt by making a template of sorts, but I'm worried about drilling into the trunk trying to find a threaded insert blindly. Also, I'm not even sure what size/shape the hole is for the alignment pin. Anyone have pictures or know where to get a template/instructions? I mean, if I bought it from the dealer new for 2 grand, they would install it, so there has to be instructions somewhere, right?

I didn't notice your reply. I didn't use the 3rd hole and I don't think most others do either. So basically it has 2 bolts on each side plus 3M double side tape. The wing is not going anywhere. Unless you know you are going to drive above 88MPH then you might be in trouble (sarcasm).
