Passenger side weight sensor defeat

finally got around to building my weight sensor bypass for the passenger side. i will be installing Bride Cugas very shortly. And i haven't see any other posts that dont use just stand alone seat bases. they all re-use the OEM seat bracket to bypass the weight sensor. Well i dont want to hack up my OEM seats just incase i ever need to go back.

I'll let you know how it goes. I'll update this first post as the design evolves.

Basic info:

You need to have > 66# for the airbag to go off.
You need to have the weight sensors attached along with the occupant ECU plugged in else you will get a SRS warning light
You need at least a 2.0 ohm resistor to fake out the yellow SRS connector underneath the seat.

please excuse the look of the plates. these were made from scrap aluminum we had lying around... if this works i'll be going back and making a 'cleaner version'

basic construction of the plates:

I will post up updates on this thread

Anybody got this figured out? Looking at the sensors looks like there is gel in the top "eye" looking part. Is that the area that needs to be compressed?

No way to wire to trick to the weight sensor Ecu box? I'm going to play around with applying weight to the gel but I don't have a lot of knowledge about wiring. Any help would be great or is everybody with after market seats just living with the air bag light? Not a huge deal but if I can find a workaround it would be great.

Thanks.

Yeah, did this work, I'd love to remove the electrical tape covering that light. I thought about digging into the dash just to see if I could remove the lamp. I'd kinda like the seat pressure sensor to function, I'd just like to eliminate that light.

I tried it along with a few other things a couple of years ago when I first got aftermarket seats. I gave up. I just got use to the lights being on. They go with the tire pressure light and a few others. For the first week it bugged me. Now I don't even notice them. Prob not what you wanted to hear but a few lights is still worth having the seats.

Somebody may have figured out how to deactivate them using that device that can change things on the cars computer. I just haven't put much effort into looking for a solution. I have an AM steering wheel as well so I have no working airbags in the car anyways.

Strange thing is the airbag light goes off on its own for a month or so then comes back for a day then goes away.
