Installation:
To install the Tomioka Hood dampers for the Evolution X, you will be using 4 existing mounting points/bolts in the engine bay of your car; 2 mounting points/bolts on the fender and 2 on the hood itself. Below are the parts included in each kit.





1. First remove the bolt closest to you on each side of the fenders.



2. Next use the 4 washers and 2 bolts included in the kit to mount the first brackets to the fenders. (Washer Bracket Washer) The bracket marked (L) will be used on the driver side while the bracket marked (R) will be used on the passenger side.




3. Finally, Use the existing bolts from your hood along with the lock washers to secure the brackets on the hood. Like the other brackets. (L) will be on the driver side and (R) will be on the passenger side.
4. Make sure to torque the bolts holding the brackets as there is a lot of weight and pressure on the brackets and mounting points. Also the hood dampers internal compression needs to be worked in as the first few times will be somewhat stiff and not smooth. This is just the internal compression breaking in. Enjoy your new Carbon fiber hood Dampers.

Just curious, how much torque is required for the bolts holding the brackets?

I personally just used a socket wrench. But they def need to put some muscle into it
