First mod: Team D Motorsports shift boot!

Huge props go out to Shahin and Meraz at Team D. I picked this little gem up to address what I thought was an OEM part that was really lacking: The factory shift boot.

I got their leather boot with the thread color that matches the steering wheel, and its a really nice touch! Check out these pics:

I'm very happy with this mod, and this vendor who I have used for the first time. I had no clue how to remove the center console since it was nothing like the Evo IX. One of the guys that works there, Meraz, walked me through the install which is only pulling the center piece out of the center console and ended up being a cake walk. I wanted to point you to their thread to show you where they are retailing these in case you like mine and wanted to pick one up for yourself:

Let me know what you guys think about this boot.

Its whatever cord came with the 8500 back in 2002 when I bought this detector.

Looks much better than stock. But, having said that, you could replace it with an oily rag and it would look better than the stock boot.

[edit] $90? No thanks.

Does seem like a nice upgrade , but 90.00 for boot cover is alittle high for a non-HP mod. if you come down on the price , I am in.
