What are the chances of non-OEM lights?
I loved the Evo X until I saw the final production version. Small changes such as the change to using the default el-cheapo Lancer lights to save costs ruin the look for me. It makes such a difference in my opinion.
Kits, aero, and mirrors are a given...but what are the chances of somebody releasing non-OEM lights that are a little more unique looking? The current lights made the car look so...pedestrian and budget car feeling.

give APC a call, they're what you're looking for...
IMO, if you're on the fence on an evo because of the lights, then you're here for the wrong reason.
buy a civic and have LED Halo flashing wiper headlights!!!!!!!!11

Huge Evo fan, hate the budget car lights. The Evo VII-IX had unique lights from the generic Lancer that were quite nice and sleek despite being normal looking. I really liked them. They they teased us with the unique lights and LED banks in the almost-production Evo X before switching to a single set across the Lancer lineup to save costs.

You never know, some of these minor discrepancies may be implemented into the XI, minor model changes (MMC's) usually include updated headlights/taillights, etc. The upcoming Lancer RA was sporting black-housing taillights (supra-esque) when I saw it an auto show.
It would be a very easy way for Mitsu to refresh the look of the car, and you could always purchase the items separately for your X at that time.
Unfortunately anything aftermarket when dealing with headlights/taillights rarely reach OEM-level build quality. I don't think i've ever seen an APC light that wasn't fogged up or ill-fitting in some way shape or form.
Uncalled for, we're discussing design details and critiquing variations from prototype to production. Who pissed in your cornflakes this morning?
