Me and a buddy of mine with a 02 WRX took some pics last weekend downtown here (Roanoke, Va). Some parking lots, former railroad station, parking garage and some really old one-lane bridge. The X is stock, mostly. The WRX has exhaust/intake/re-mapped, other goodies and some rota torque's. Check em out.

If you don't like the wrx you don't like it, but sitting here and having every comment bashing it is ridiculous. FYI, it runs a dead heat against the X in a line, handling is a little different, obviously.

What are you talking about? You're bashing people because they have "taste"? Are you talking about the car above "runs a dead heat" against the X? With enough money you can make anything go fast. Please don't bore me with that rethetoric.

I was a Subaru guy way before getting into Evo's. And even I can admit the second gen WRX is a styling mistake on Subaru's part. ****, less than a year 1/2 later they redesigned the front so it would be more agressive. Everyone, I mean everyone hated the styling. Only a handful of people appreciated the styling.

However, please don't try to compare that bug-eye "regular" WRX to the X...it's insulting. The performances don't even come close. It's not like it's a STi...now that's more similar.

 

agreed... subaru here since 01. i bought my 01 rs because the wrx was not attractive to me at all.

 

Haha, lets talk about "rethetoric". He paid $10k for the car, has about $500 worth the mods and hes hanging with a $40k car. So theoretically, since my car has about $30k dollars over him I should be 4 times as fast no? I mean, with enough money anything can go fast. Everyone doesn't have the same "taste" as you, maybe you should respect other folks difference in opinion. Its a photoshoot thread, not a lets-talk-crap-about-a-wrx-because-we-are-the-elite-X-fanboys thread. K thx bye.
