Im going to buy the rear lip spoiler from mitsubishiparts.net .. i want to make sure that its the same one on the car below. VVVVVVV (not my car)



is that trunk lip the same as this trunk lip.? (click link then scroll down untill you see the trunk lip)

yes, that is the same trunk lip. should be around $200-ish... give and take. Comes pre-painted too.

 

same lip, i have it on my x. if you don't want to drill into the trunk you can just dremel off the center leg. that's what i did and i just taped it onto my trunk

 

i thought it was supposed to be taped on. you have to drill into the trunk??? =/

 

the original mounting has one stud right in the middle followed with double sided tape all along the rest of the wing. Youre supposed to drill the trunk and bolt it. I did the same as JoeyM3 and just chopped off the plastic stud.... I used the existing double-sided tape and it holds just fine.

 

does it sit as flush as it would if you were to bolt it on..?

 

sits fine, the screw is just for stability, but the double sided tape will hold it just fine, just make sure you clean the surface properly before mounting

 

yes, that is the same lip on both pics. Yes, the lip sits flush.

 

what did you guys do about the hole from the old wing?

 

im using this with my sss wing, so no holes for me

 

I bought a new trunklid w/out any holes.

 

Do you have any pics of your car? I've wanted to see what a painted lip looks like with the SSS wing. I'm not really a fan of the carbon fiber lip.

 

How much was the new trunk lid?

 

i would get the one from derek @ rexpeed and they fit awsome! and they have CF and i think fiberglass!
