I remember a time when my Brembos were red and sexy

Did you get fluid on them when you flushed your brakes??? That stuff will ruin just about everything.
The Brembos on my Porsche were still bright red after 7 years of abuse.

I've spilled a few drops on them while bleeding them but certainly not all over them.

Do a search on the forums for 'brownbos' and you'll get something like 5 pages of results dating back to when the first Evo was released in the US. The Evo brakes have always done it; they're probably treated differently than the Porsche brakes to save on cost. Brownbos are like a badge of honour .

Unless you're experience some serious fade (Which would amaze me considering the number of available pads and rotors that would be the more logical upgrade), I cannot fathom why anyone would spend that kind of money and then have to deal with the problems with the change in brake bias.
