does the thickness of the carbon fiber have any negative effect on the fitment ? I mean when you wrap it around the plastic piece ?

It looks real nice.

I've done the same setup and i guess depending on how you wrap the piece its a little harder to get it to pop into place, but still doable. I'll post a pic of my version.

a 7 color boost gauge and digital wideband

I bought a spare trim piece so that i could go back to stock one day. They're a ripoff at the dealer at close to $100, to i waiting till i found a used one...still payed $50.

Ghetto relocated hazard button below climate controls, used bondo/filler on the hole in the trim piece, sanded down, cut two holes, wrap everything in CF fabric ($30 from ebay) using 3M spray adhesive, then installed guages.

I had to cut a little platic out from behind the guages to get them to fit, the OP's gauges are angled out so i believe he didn't have to trim anything.

When everything was said and done, I messed up while putting the trim piece into place for final installation ( between the wrap and the guages it didn't want to snap back in easily so i forced it) and the place where i put the bondo to cover the original hazard switch holes broke. You can see an outline of where the hazard button was on the second pic.

Someone could actually market a dash replacement kit like this with 3 gauge pods. It complements the whole dash SO well. Im wondering why no one has made it yet..

I'm leaving it alone for now, may re-do it once it gets warmer outside. the CF fabric was 30 shipped from ebay and the spray adhesive is like 10 bucks. I wanted to wrap the door trim pieces too but i don't feel like removing the whole door panel just for that.

I was thinking the same thing. If Rexpeed, or any company for that matter, made one of these I would definitely buy one.
