i have a half way solution. I am doing rally so it is a high possibility to slide into something , there for it is not a bad idea to keep some protection on the front. Besides i have to hold my rally light rack somewhere and for towing poit. I am not a big fan of it but it is a very good addition for cooling the engine bay more efficently .

here is how mine looks as is today:

I like that, how did you trim it?
Also notice on mine you can see a tiny black line across the inside just behind the grill.
I made a custom aluminum bar from 1" x 2" square tubing that I bolted my oil cooler to.

mine is actually still the factory front crash beam. since it is light and durable. We connected the tow hook and the light pod holders on it. The plastic and the crash beam are trimmed where is that 2 wholes for cooling on the original crasbeam and bumber piece.

Im curious what the insurance implications are to removing the front crash beam. If you are in a front end collision and end up totalling the front end of your car, Im curious if they would even notice the bar missing and, if they did, try to deny your claim saying that the extent of the damage is due to the beam removal.

Anyways, Hollywood's car looks better due to the black grill material. The silver material on the other car makes it look really bad. IMO of course.
