Headlight film template

I have rolls of window film from which I would like to cut to fit on my headlights for some additional protection while on the track.

I even have a spare couple of lights but will tell you tracing out the curves of the light and cutting the film into shape is a lot harder than it looks (for me anyway).

I'm wondering if anyone has bought and used tinted headlight film and has a template of the film's shape (when flat) that I could use for my project. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, I've done that for years and am looking for a more permanent solution.

Thanks yes. I even have a spare headlight I can use as a model. I'll tell you though, cutting this stuff out perfectly is tricky business and more difficult than I thought.

I'd personally be more worried about the paint than the headlights.

Well, paint is always a problem. Usually we spray the front w WD40 before an event, so that helps a bit. Here's a pic.
