will gtc300 67" bent the trunk?
i installed it for 2 weeks with DD everyday. i looked at the trunk edge today, i found it has a little bent, the bent is not so big or you can even see it when you dont get very close to it. i am just worrying about the bent curve will get bigger.
i have the mr trunk and only drilled 2 holes on each side along the edges. i know i suppose to drill 1 more hole on each side toward the center, but its kinda hard to drill that because of the way the oem trunk was built.
anyone has ideas?

 

If it's bent under stress from the wing then it will only get worse! Did you mount it in the correct location on the trunk?

i dont know if i mounted it on the correct location or not. i have the MR trunk, so i dont have any predrill holes like the GSRs.

 

did it not come with a mounting stencil? If it's not in the right place there may not be enough structural support under the mounts.

 

I had the 200, I will never buy a apr product ever again. Comes with no directions and mine came all messed up

 

the mounting hareware came all mess up too for my wing. there were no enough washer for the center mount. my trunk is not bet yet, but from the edge i can tell it has a very little close to none curved. if you dont get very very very close to it you cant even tell. but i am just worrying the curve will get better eventually turns out to be bent. i tried to take a picture to show, but like i said its close to none, so the picture can't show anything.

 

forgot to mention, the fitment was suck from APR. the stands mounted on the bottom of the wing plate was about a inch and the half outward the edge of the trunk, so when i try to line up everything to the edge i have to pull it very hard to push it in a bit then mount both stands on the bottom plate then drill holes accordingly.

Same issue with fitment, I ended up selling it

 

You guys must installed wrong. I installed one on my C.F doluck and never got any issues.

 

Fitment was terrible, looks like ****ty quality to me

 

no, i havent fix yet. my installer said the trunk will just stay like this now. the wind wont pull any bigger bent. so he asked me to calm down.

No it wont. Ill send you pics on how we installed on out cars.
