I was not hating, just informing. Its your car and you're free to do what you want to it. I just wanted to let you know how insurance companies view it that's all. If you like it that is all that matters. Do it for yourself not other people

Where do you hook up the Dishwasher. Don't forget to carry some Drano in case you get a clogged up, you never know.

What the hell is this world coming too?

With all the ingenuity, creativity, uniqueness I would think you could come up with a better alternative that a sink strainer? Do u really think that can withstand the heat you are about to put on it? I think that's where all the hate is coming from.

You guys don't seem to understand 100% what the strainers are for.
There should be only very minimal heat, the exhaust pipe will have a heat resistant spacer.
Lol guys the sink strainer is only used as a heat shield, nothing more or less, lol the title made it interesting.
The pipes will be 2-1/2" leaving about 1/4" space around the actual exhaust pipe.

Do you guys have a better alternative to a heat shield????

I hope I made myself clear now

It doesn't look bad but, like roach said, I don't like the sound of cutting through any beams.

But, hey, its your car; do as you please.

LOL. If you just posted pics of the finished product and didn't mention sink strainers everybody would be saying how cool it is and stuff.

If you look really close it's not a lot removed, roughly half a fist. The structural integrity part is still mostly there. I welded the exposed seams too.

Definitely not as bad as no crash beam like my old jdm EVO 8 rear bumper.
Lol I saw a post about that awhile back, I think it was called "Insurance Adjuster Vs JDM Rear" lol

Here's the post https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/showthread.php?t=284335&styleid=28

I already thought about that too.
They sell a diffuser exhaust plugs.
It's gonna look like it was never made for an exhaust on the bottom part.
