One of my guys is running it on his X over here and it fits like a charm and the signal is as good as the OEM antenna.

Also available in plain black

Nothing personal or attacking you. So just putting it out there before my comment.

But just got back from lunch and we took by co-workers X who has this antenna and it specifically listened to see if I could tell a difference between his radio and the radio in my X (both SSS models) running a OEM antenna and they sounded the same.

^^ i believe they both will sound the same like my perrin shorty.

It's when you drive into a underground parking garage or going through a tunnel when the shorty antenna shows its flaw. Signal gets dropped quicker then the stock long antenna.

Out in the open, the sound would be the same I bet.

I've had my Perrin for the past 2 years on my Ralliart and now my X. Both with Sirius. I never have a problem with it unless I actually stop under a bridge or am in a parking garage. I had the same problem with the OEM so I think it's just the signal disturbance and not the antenna.

Functional and gets rid the r/c look with the ridiculous oem antenna. So I'd buy it again/recommend it to anyone.

I have the Colt Speed antenna which is pretty similar. Reception kinda got worse but it looks a lot better. This CF piece is even better, although I'd be afraid people would steal it.

Yes, it is a separate antenna but it's not suppose to be hidden. After all, it is satellite.
