From Cloth to Leather
Well I've been putting this off for a while now but I have finally placed my order for aftermarket leather :)
I'm going through Mitsubishi Certified Leather Program and getting the full leather interior. The cloth seats too me are just an eye sore and I can't wait to get them covered up :D Just wanted to post up the before pics and when they get done this week I'll post up the after pics {thumbup} Note: It's been raining here so my seats are dirty I know :p UPDATE: Went and got the leather installed today! Overall I'm very happy with the work that was done. Took only about 2-3 hours to do. The people at the shop told me it will take about a month for the leather to settle in and all the creases will be gone for good :) http://i52.tinypic.com/20sve6u.jpg http://i55.tinypic.com/11l7mgk.jpg http://i55.tinypic.com/e5i6vs.jpg http://i52.tinypic.com/a9wr9v.jpg http://i52.tinypic.com/2yzbmu8.jpg http://i51.tinypic.com/29z3hpe.jpg |

This will give you an idea of what I'm getting https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...e-leather.html

I'll be doing the same thing. Evo is stateside, and should be at my dealer by the end of 2 weeks. Seats immediately go out to get the leather installed, then I'll pick my baby up
|
Does that program come with the option to get the heated leather seats?
Once I get my Evo (1 month!!!), this will probably be the first mod I do, once I regain my deposit amount back :) |

Make sure you post some pics when it's installed. |
Nice link. Thanks!
I have cloth interior & I like it. But in the future this would be cool. |
sub'd for outcome, really interested on how it comes out, contemplating if its worth it or not

that is probably the best cosmetic upgrade ever. Make's it look 1 billion times better than stock cloth. I'm really glad they cover the door panels and console too, looks so cheap with cloth. Great choice and IMO 1300 isn't bad for such a drastic change!

Yes they do offer heated seats. Doesn't get that cold where I live so I opted not to get that.
Is that $1,300 price tag set by Mitsubishi and therefore the dealers can't charge you more for it or is that what your dealer charges you to install it? (Saw the price tag in another thread). |

Wow! How much extra is that? I would check the website, but it is blocked where I work :(

And no I didn't go through my dealer. I just called the center myself. Perhaps if you go through the dealer the dealer wants a cut? Not sure but give them a call and find out. Let me know how much you get quoted. |

I'm only paying $899 + tax. I called another center and they quoted me $1300 + tax so it all depends where you go I guess. I'm gonna save $400 for the same exact thing

Spoke with the regional manager for my area, and he said Roadwire can only do "factory" leather for Mitsubishi cars - meaning I'd have to go through my dealer to get it done.
At first he said he would put me in touch with an upholstery shop in my area, but then he backtracked and said if I wanted Roadwire, I would have to go through my dealer. Something doesn't add up if you ask me |
