Sakura's Street Catback Photos :)

Hello All,
Just wanted to share our existing but fully finished catback exhaust for you guys. Its a full 3" design with a split rear end that's V-banded for adjustment and ease of removal if needed. Comes in two design, street (with a resonator in the midpipe) and race (straight midpipe).

Enjoy!
PS: Don't mind the background.. we were prepping this one to be shipped off to a customer...

Awesome job and looks very nice. Have you guys consider an OEM style 3 inch for Evo 8/9 that would fit the JDM rear. I think you will hit a homerun with that one. Everybody does big canon ball mufflers for JDM rear, somebody should try a stock looking 3 inch for jdm... consider that as doing something out of the box... ;-)

Being an evo 8 owner myself with a jdm rear... I tried but our plans are currently to concentrate on evo x's and then to subaru/gtr platforms. The evo 8/9 would be after that unfortunately...

would it be possible to buy just sections of the sakura exhaust? (ie. the mufflers/Y pipe) basically everything from the midpipe to mufflers.

Kaizen Tuning Oct 8, 2013 04:29 AM

Honestly we could sell it that way however we have not tested this midpipe with other axelbacks so we can't gaurantee a complete fitment for whatever you plan on running it with. If you'd like to special order it without the resonators in the y-pipe (axel back) we can do that option.

Our goal here is to tailor this exhaust to your setup, we flange the end of this exhaust to stock sizing if the customer only plans on keeping the exhaust as an aftermarket catback only.

Sexy welds! Nice looking exhaust all around and doesn't sound too too loud, although louder than I like I think.

Please make one in all titanium. I'm dying for a dual outlet all titanium exhaust.

Sounds great and looks like some quality work!!!

We can weld titanium, its the price that's going to make it difficult to push :crap:
I myself love Ti parts...

Awesome exhaust. One day I will own one :)

Curious, did the cost go up? I thought they were originally around $900 for the street catback?

Also comparing this exhaust to other aftermarket ones yours seem to have very small mufflers. Should one be concerned with the noise or is it pretty quiet compared to other aftermarket exhausts. The youtube video of the camera on the rear bumper makes it sound amazing but its hard to tell how loud it really is.

Another couple questions. Would one need a tune at all with this exhaust on a stock car? Does this exhaust bolt right up to the stock cat or would we need to get an aftermarket high flow cat?

Sent you a PM adam!

Here's the answer to your questions!
- The cost listed was our introductory price which we had a special going for the first few months of the release.
- The catback is loud however the resonated street version does tone it down a bit, one of my customers will chime in soon on his setup and the sound. He's used to hearing Tomei's driving by him all day :P
- A tune is suggested for any modification to maximize the performance of the mod, however its not entirely necessary to do a tune. We suggest getting a tune after doing any type of performance modification to get the most out of the part. However certain parts like the UICP/DP and more critical mods like that we highly suggest getting a tune to avoid running in unsafe conditions.
- We can tailor the exhaust to fit a 3" or 2.5" flange depending on your setup. We have had a few customers who only plan on doing a catback so we put a 2.5" reducer to mount to the stock cat, whereas some want to pair it up with a 3" high flow cat/test pipe and we can do the 3" mount. When the sales are made we inquire as to what the customer's plans are, normally we suggest getting a 3" testpipe/hfc to 'think ahead'.

Thanks for the info :)

These are probably all basic questions but I just wanted to know what one was getting into when they are thinking about a catback exhaust.

Promo Vid:

I've had the first one on my car for close to year now and can not be happier. I came from a UR dual and that droned like no bodies business. With the Street I have ZERO drone and zero headaches! Once you get a feel for the tone you can drive it like a normal car or you can get on it for that race car sound. Oddly the stock 2012 exhaust droned more than this exhaust lol :p

I drive by 3 schools on the way to work, construction all day long. Cops, all day long. Even with the blaring graphics they don't bother me. I'd piss one off if I wanted to but the key is you can drive an not deal with the hassle.

From all the exhaust I've heard this hands down is one of the best. I really love the Cobb quad tip my self but was just a tad too quite. For the price point this should be a top peoples list. The promo vid is my car an all Sakura parts.

Any pics of how snug the exhaust is under the car? Just curious if it sags at all. We have ****ty roads over here :P
