Stock wheels are 18x8.5 +38. Max tire size per chart is a 255 but a 265 will work OK as well

And you won't have to worry about any rubbing in the front?

On an X, you have plenty of room. Even on the 8/9, this would work Ok as well

Unless your susp is dumped, I doubt any lock to lock liner rub would be possible

BTW, I ran the X wheel on my 9 years ago w/a 255/35 tire. Worked like OEM. No rubs!

Hello all,

Are 245/45/18 tires too tall for stock dimension wheels? is 245/40 the tallest you can run?

The bolt pattern for Evo's are 5x114.3. Unless you get those wheels redrilled, nothing else matters, they're not going on. The best offset would be +20. You will probably rub/hit inside of the wheel well and suspension components with that high offset.

Good luck.

Spacers don't fix your bolt pattern problem. The only thing that means are that spacers have drill patterns to accept a variety of hubs. Your wheels still have the wrong drill pattern and the bolts on the vehicle will not align. The spacers would fix the offset problem though.

Hello @BenMara

Pretty sure there is a 16" out there that the drag guys have used that will fit over the Brembos. Let me see if i can find that thread

Edit: Heres a thread that discusses 16's. Seems like the Nissan R32 wheel has worked but needs a spacer & possible hub bore milling required

Google "EvO 16" wheels forum" & you will find numerous discussions

Looking at the following:

Tires: 275/35/18
Wheels: Weds Tc105x 18x10 +20

(Future mods to aid fitment)

Suspension: Fortune Auto 500 9k F/ 9k R
Camber: (based off Socal evo site) -2.0 F/ -1.5 R "aggressive street" alignment.

I would like to know if that setup up will be functional for a daily and spirited driving. i understand that this is an uncommon wheel among X's. My decision behind this was my uncertainty of wanting 9.5 or 10.5. Based on my research, 10.5's look the best while 9.5's have the better physical properties. (light weight = less rotational mass). so i settled in between.

Thanks.

Will I be able to run 18x10.5 +25 offset with 285/30/18? The wheels are Konig Hypergrams. A friend is looking to offload some wheels and I'm curious if I will run into fitment issues.
I recently got the car and the previous wheels were 18x10.5 +22 with front spacers, staggered tires 265/30/18 for front and 275/30/18 for rear.
Fenders have been rolled and front fender liners have been removed.
