Thumbs up Finally lowered my X

So after a lot of research and debating, I went with megan springs. Now before everyone goes haywire over this, I could not find any reviews or real information on these springs so I decided to try them out and review them. So here it goes and I figured they were only $100 so no real loss. The spring rate is 280 front and 230 rear, they are made out of sae 9254 cold wounded steel. When they arrived at my door step they looked good, installation went smooth. Believe it or not they actually ride really good, not really that harsh. No bottoming out issues either, I hate to say it, but i'm impressed and yes it even handles a little better. I've had many lowered vehicles with coilovers, never springs. These ride alot better than most coilover setups i've used. Here's some pics of before and after. As you can see by the measurements it evens it out perfectly, no more popping a wheelie. I know the drop is a little extreme, but I like how it looks. I'll keep up on updating this thread as I get more mileage on these springs.

The drop looks really good, these are the first pics i have seen with a X on these springs.

How miles have you put on them when you took the pics, did they settle? Lets us know how they feel after a few thousand miles too.

That's a pretty good stance on those springs.

I have put about 500 miles on these springs so far with no issues or noise.

Is the drop reallly 2 inches like is claimed? I know that is a lot of shock travel that is lost with that large of a drop.

Did you cut your bump-stops in half?

I did not cut the bump stops down and the actual drop for me was 1 3/4" in the front and 1 1/8" in the rear. The measurements were taken from the ground up on the center of the wheel.

If you cut them does that help with suspension travel?

I guess it would, but that would let the strut go beyond it's travel point.

So you like the ride? What about handling does it feel tighter in corners or if you hit a bump in a corner fast do you get thrown off axis?

The ride is really not too bad. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that these springs are the greatest, but they do perform the same or even better than some $300 springs. As for cornering, it does corner better and you do know that you hit a bump when cornering.

Yes it does. Every set of Eibach springs I have ever installed, the instructions say to cut the bump stops in half. But were men and we never read the instructions
