Whether a tire/wheel combination with fit an Evo X without rubbing depends on many specifics (that are often missing from the posts that you'll find when searching).

There are also several different places that a tire can rub (and many posts are focused on only type of rubbing). We want them all: rear fender lip, front wheel-well liner, etc.

Most of all, tires with the same sizing specs (e.g., 245/40/18) vary hugely across specific brands and models (so you can't take the fact that tire X fits as good evidence that tire Y will also fit, even when the specs and wheels are the same).

The purpose of this thread is to list combinations that are known - from direct experience - to fit without rubbing. Please do not post unless you have all of the required information. Please do not use this thread to ask questions. Please do not post "+1" (or anything like this) if you have the same information that already exists in the thread. Moderators will delete posts that don't belong here. The idea is to keep this thread as short as possible. The only deviation form the standard posts (example below) should be disagreements: if you can disconfirm a posted combination that is said to fit, please do so.

Pictures are not needed or welcome unless they are making a very specific point, such as showing that the rubbing in the front fender-well is minimal.

Note: the example post below is really meant as an example and not as anything very useful; if you have a combination that fits but it's obvious that it would, please don't post. Let's really try to keep this thread tight. Thanks.

Suspension: OE with front bolt flipped to more camber

Alignment: -2.0/-1.5 camber, zero/zero toe

Fenders: untouched (i.e., no rolling or pulling)

Fenders: Rolled Rear

No rubbing, although there were spots where the front fender liner had shown spots of rubbing.

NJ Drive

Wheels: Enkei PF01, 18" x 8.5" +35(fronts use a 3mm spacer for an effective +32 offset)
Tires: Hoosier A6, 295/30/18
Suspension: OEM Bilstein/Eibach(now revalved for 2012)
Alignment: -2.1°F, -1.4°R camber, 0.0"F, -0.25"R toe
Fenders: Stock

Front: Very minimal rubbing on the front struts w/o 3mm spacer, virtually none with them. No contact with fenders.

Rear: Very minimal rubbing on the trailing arms. No contact with fenders.

18 x 10 +18 wedsports SA55M with dunlop direzzas dz101 265/35/18. -1.3 front/ -1.5 rear. Megan track coilovers. NO FENDERS ROLLED and no rubbing whatsoever.
