NEW Release Cobb EVO X Sway Bars

Cobb Just released their new Swaybars for the X Here is the info on them

COBB Tuning announces immediate availability of the 2008 Mitsubishi EVO X anti-swaybar kit. This kit dramatically decreases bodyroll and improves handling, encouraging the driver to attack the corners while inspiring confidence at the limit!
The COBB EVO X Anti-Swaybar Kit has multiple settings both front and rear, giving additional adjustment so handling canbe tuned to driver preference. Rear bar stiffness can be increased up to 176% over stock, improving balance and reducing
inherent understeer without impacting ride quality. This kit is a direct replacement for the factory equipment. The lightweight tubular bars are CNC bent for a precise fit which makes installation simple. The kit also includes polyurethane bushings for quick transient response and bushing mounts with integrated grease fittings for easy maintenance.

EVO X Anti-Swaybar Kit Features:
• Two position front bar: 108% and 125% rate increase over stock
• Three position rear bar: 106%, 132% and 176% rate increase over stock
• Tubular bars for weight reduction
• CNC bent for precise fit
• Polyurethane bushings for immediate response
• Bushing mounts with grease fittings for easy maintenance
• Integrated bar locaters to prevent “bar walk”
• Tough powder coat exterior for weathering the elements
I had the chance to drive around the track in my EVO IX track car at the same time they were testing these, and I can say I was pretty impressed with how fast that car was and how flat it looked for a car just on springs and sway bars. Alot of testing went into these from Cobb and I think a really great product came out.

I would def recommend them to anyone wanting to take some of the body roll out of the car and improve handling.

Sweet!

Anti-walking tabs, tubular construction, mounts with grease fittings. These sound great.

You can buy them seperate or together.

MSRP is $165 per bar. We have a thread in the for sale section if you are interested.

These are hollow sway bars so the diameter would not be a direct correlation to a solid type sway bar. I will be happy to take a mic to them and let you know what the sizing is.

Since I know the % increase as soon as I find out the stock sway bar diameter I could tell you what they would be equivalent to in a solid sway bar.

I am looking into this info and will post when I have my results.

Cobb just got me the stock sway bar sizing it is 25mm front and 23mm rear

So using a conversion chart the front would be closest to a 30mm front solid bar
and the rear would be closest to a 27.5mm Rear solid Bar(all converted from the lowest % rate increase)

This is using a conversion chart from whiteline and a disclaimer is at the bottom of it:
IMPORTANT : This chart is purely for rough comparison
purposes and is only designed to serve as a guide. It can
not be used when comparing different bar shapes, designs
or material specifications.
So please keep that in mind

How well would these compliment Works springs? Looks like works only has a rear sway bar available for the X, no front.

I have not had the opportunity to ride in a EVO X with work springs. I know Works does a great job with their products so I am sure they are top notch.

But with ANY spring these will help reduce the body roll from side to side on hard cornering and with the adjustments allowing you to play with the balance of oversteer and understeer makes for a very versatile setup.

P.S But I have ridden in a car with Cobb springs and thought they were incredible.

It would be equivalent to approx 29.5-30mm rear bar when on the stiffest setting.
