Sorry for being a n00b, but does Robispec ship them tuned better than just straight from the factory?

Mine are slightly stiffer than stock however it does ride very comfortable for a coilover in my opinion. If you think its bad ride in a car with JIC, TEIN or Cusco coilovers. They will redefine what you consider comfort.

soften the bump and rebound, you'll get used to it.
i've been in your situation, good thing is i adjusted it to my preference.
now its perfect....everyone who rides the car loves it!

I was wondering if anyone has a "How Too" for installing the Robispec KW V'3. I started to install last night and ran into a problem.

do you need a spring compressor? I am thinking so because there is no way to attach the top of the coilover to the strut tower without reusing the swivel base thats attached to the stock coilover. Any help would be great.

OP, is yours the robi spec streets?
I believe those have softer spring rates than regular KW's?
tune it really good and you'll be fine, it will ride comfortable as having a coilover.
