So who here has Robispec KW Race coilovers?

I ask because I just sent Mr. Spec a deposit for a set along with his advanced suspension package.

Has it changed your driving style? How have your lap times changed? How forgiving is it at the limit? What kind of tires are you running with it?

I have his whole package. Honestly it was a bit aggressive for street use so I softened up the bump quite a bit for dd purposes. Have not tracked it yet but spirited driving has the car quite a bit more positive on turn in. If you are some one who trail brakes a lot it you might need to put a little more grip back in the rear. I tend to induce a little understeer on entry so any thing that takes away push is good for me as long as I can get on the power early. In my experience, you just need a good solid starting point which you have with either robi's setup or really even the stock setup. From there you can probably get the car to behave what is naturally quick for you.

The benefit from robi's setup is you get matched and balanced coilovers with track proven sway, roll center and bumpsteer correction ... The rest is just tuning.

Height from where to where? The top of the front and/or rear fender?

i had a KW V3. I was running very low. I sadly cant recall, but i think over 2 inch all around. but the car runned just great. The KW V3 has a "long " travel even when they dropped.
I used the Toyo R888's.
It is a very good riding quality coilover .

I liked them for road race.

here is my wheel alignment what i had. I think it was great.

If you still have stock wheels, how about from the fender to the top of the wheel (not tire) over the center caps (ie the highest point) in front and back.

Thanks a bunch!

I have the robi spec club sports with all the bells

I love it, gave my car life again before my car had Tein, it use to be sooo choppy and jumpy it was kinda of dangerous.

Robi fixed that and now it's like a sharp ninja knife

Shoot, I went to dinner after seeing this post and forgot to measure everything. I'll do it tonight.

Our first real test with them will be in early august, Rally West Virginia.

I'm planning to have some footage and pictures form the race. So sure i will write up about the AMR suspension.

I have the RobiSpec coilovers on my car and love them. Just a week or so ago I went to his shop and had the car corner balanced and alligned and it feels even better. I will next purchase his rear sway and center roll kit.

I recently installed them on my X and am very pleased with them. They improve the sloppy street handling without getting harsh. And I beat on them pretty good at the Oregon National Challenge RallyCross last month. My placing wasn't great but that was because I couldn't handle the mud. As it dried out, I set second fastest lap of the event. And the fastest was an Evo VIII also with AMR struts. Neither of us had any damage on a punishing course.

It's a pretty new application for the X, and mine turned out to be a little short for me since I wanted to increase ride height over stock. Andy at AMR took my dimensions and is making up some longer lower bodies. But they're perfect for stock or lower heights.
