Eibach pro kit question

Eibach pro kit question

Hey guys i need help over here and i ask couple of guys here in the forum and i got different answer they said cut the bump stop and other said don't cut the bump stop so i wanna make sure before installing my eibach pm or comment

Someone on the forum said to cut it as per instruction manual.. But dont quote me on this, i recall this info when i was searching for lowering springs for my x. If u bought the kit already, it might be in the manual.

i cut the rears but not the fronts. there wasn't going to be much room for travel with the rears without cutting them.

it takes two seconds to do. i'd say do it and if you have concerns about bottoming out the strut (i don't know where in the world you'd be driving to do that) you could also order two new ones from mitsuparts.com or somewhere.

also if you're bottoming out your struts, i'd be more worried about bottoming out my tc or exhaust before i worried about the struts.

OK this is what i did, i cut the rear bump stops 15mm from the bottom. I did not touch the front bump stops meaning i did not take the ring off. This is exactly what the instructions say... front bump stop remove ring, rear bump stop: remove ring trim 15mm from bottom.
