XXR 550 w/255/40/18 DWS 06

Just got these mounted.

Couple things of note.

I rubbed the front inner fenders on both sides at full lock. Did the trick where you heat them up and push them in then douse them with cold water. Seems good now.

Rears were rubbing so I rolled the inside lip of both. Heated them up and used a wooden handle of a rubber mallet to bend the lip in. Caulk line is still visible so it's not an aggressive role.

Pics are from my iPhone so they're not the best.

XXR 550 18x9.75 +19

I thought 255/40's would be a good fit but am thinking either 265/35 or 245/40 would have been better.

Update: Still got some rubbing in the rear so I went and got an alignment.

-1.2 front and -2 rear.

Only rubs on the passenger side on the biggest dips. Not sure I can do anything more to fix it.

Looks good! Yea the only thing you can do next time is a little thinner side wall tire. Or throw a little more camber at it.

I really wish XXR made better quality stronger wheels, they make a lot of really good looking wheels, but I've seen too many broken ones to risk it... its most likely fine on the street, but I my wheels need to put up with track abuse too

that's odd you got rubbing in the rear.

I ran 18x9.75 +20 with 265/35/18 DWS and it wasn't even close to rubbing with stock non-rolled fenders

Its the height of the 255/40 causing the issue. He needs to really roll the rear fender, or go to a 265/35. Which you should do, OP. That camber is all wrong, asking for all the extra understeer set up like that..
