OEM 2-piece rotor clicking
In search of explanations on why my 2-pc rotors click.
Problem: bilateral front loud audible clicks only when braking, the harder I step on the brakes, the louder the clicks get. Seems to get louder as heat increases from braking.
Summary: I've had this problem before at 25k kms, went to the dealer, they said warped rotors. Went to a local mechanic, they couldn't tell me what was wrong. I decided to buy generic front rotors + stoptech pads and the clicks disappeared, I thought it might be the pads. 50k km went on and I decided to resurface the front rotors + hawk DTC-30 pads. I thought if it was warped, resurfacing would make it even again.
Fast forward 1 week of daily driving and the clicking is back, I can't understand why it's doing that, it was fine on 1pc rotors so I'm positive it's not the subframe, the suspension or anything else.
Does someone have any explanation why it's clicking?
