Time For New Rotors/Pads! Suggestions?

Whats up Evo Fam!

Its about time my X got the rotors & pads replaced. Anyone have any good suggestions!? Im looking for a combination that has good stopping power, reduce noise & dust. But most importantly best bang for your buck. My X only makes 326hp so i dont need anything crazy. I just prefer upgrading things if its gonna be changed anyway 🤷🏽*♂️.

Any info you guys send my way is appreciated! Thanks 🍻

i run centric blanks and stoptech street pads on my 8. it has plenty stopping power but the pads due to semi metallic make some noise at low speeds. can be annoying at first but eventually i got used to it and it doesnt bother me anymore. ill get around to putting some stock angled shim on mine eventually. maybe stick with a ceramic pad if noise is a concern.

@atmos_x

Same street setup here. Cant beat the Centrics & Stoptechs for the street. Any yes, you should run the angled shims. they are definitely noise reducers. My Stoptechs are noise free!

Another vote for Centric rotors. I have the Centric semi metallic pads on too. They work fine for a daily driver.

If you're looking for all out braking performance, look for something more "serious". Like the Ferodo DS2500 pads front and rear I got waiting to be installed next!.

I am on the stock MR rotors still but just put a set of GiroDisc Magics in,
I'm around 350 whp and they are a great DD pad. Minimal brake dust.
Price is right too; You can get them for about 160 for all 4 corners.

EDIT:
MAP also sells them in a stage One package, Comes with Braided lines and 2 jugs of fluid, for 255.
That is what I did and the Braided lines make a big difference in pedal feel. It feels more supported and firm.

I'm Happy with my R1 slotted rotors and Performance Friction carbon ceramic pads. Nice bite and super low dust.

I have Centric Rotors currently and they're pretty decent for the price, but recommend getting Girodisc Rotors if the wallet allows it for both performance and weight reduction.

My set of Girodisc rotors was definitely worth the price of admission, and now I only have to pay around half to replace the wear material. No matter what you buy just make sure you buy something that wont rust everywhere like the stock rotors do. My rims look a lot better not having rust rings behind them.

I can't give you much advise but I just bought the Stoptech slotted rotors and Stoptech street pads. I've read a lot of reviews and they seem to be a great fit for a daily driver. Little dust and noise from the pads and should last longer than stock.

MAPerformance has a sale on them too

Exact same rotors as Centric Premium. Same part #'s and all.

Interesting. Who manufactures them? APC Auto technologies?

Good to know! As long as they are quality rotors I'm not that concerned.

Now that I've looked into this I wish I would have bought the cryogenic treated rotors. I'm sure they are overkill for street use but the descriptions state they last a lot longer.

Too late :P

I think I got a decent deal though. All four rotors for $540.
