Just got My Eibach's Installed

I had the prokit installed today, Car feels alot better. Alot less roll and the stance is great!

my question is do I need a alignment right now? The alignment does not really feel off....

Also, will I need a camber kit ??

So far I recommend these springs, The car does not sit too low. I think the height is perfect.

Yes you need an alignment anytime you change height.

what about camber kit?

BigmikeOC Nov 1, 2008 06:00 PM

I used the eibachs and only needed an alignment.

beetle_orange Nov 1, 2008 06:32 PM

i dont think you need the camber kit, you should still have adequate adjustments to correct camber.

evojanoy Nov 1, 2008 06:35 PM

Yeah I didn't need a camber kit to get mine aligned.

WHAT HAPPENDS IF i DONT GET AN ALIGHNMENT?

CAPS - off.

You will prematurely wear through tires. The handling will be off.

Get it aligned.

Your questions are cracking me up...

I'm surprised you're so concerned, considering you waited two months after installation to ask what happens w/out an alignment.

It's not the end of the world if you don't get one right away, but just do it. It's not expensive and your car will handle the way it is supposed to.

The EVO generally comes with a negative camber setup for performance around corners. My stock ADVANs wore out on the inside edge exactly at 12,000 miles. It really comes to what you want. With my new winter tire setup however, I am planning on getting a zero camber setup.

does the pro kit "settle" at all or would it be okay to install them and get an alignment right after?

Smike Jan 13, 2009 09:42 AM

CatalystGod - unless they have changed the suspension tuning from the CT9A. You will not be able to run 0 camber without camber plates. And its not just camber on wearing tires. Toe is what really kills them. I run -1.8/-1.4 all year with minimal wear (105k on my car to give you an idea of the amount of driving I do). The camber bolts are either -1 or -2.

I like waiting a weeks worth of driving before I get an alignment.
