How not to ship wheels......19x10
OK, so I recently had rim problems, needed a set of cheap 19x10 to get buy until my 3 piece forged wheels arrive. I found a set of 19x10 +22 Tenzo type M listed on this site. They were 700 bucks, plus shipping. The rims looked perfect in the photos and the owner said they were on his car for 2 weeks. Ok, sold. So I sent about 800 bucks and they were to be shipped out last weds., they didn't get shipped until Friday ( guy was sick ) so, no problem. I just said, get better and do me a favor, take extra time packing these wheels, especially the faces. I don't want them to get scratched...bla,bla,bla. He then asks if I want insurance, I say yes for 800 bucks. That requires me to have to sign for the packages.......
This is how they were left sitting in my front yard......:lol::lol: I did not sign for them http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/u...6/img_1076.jpg http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/u...6/img_1078.jpg http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/u...6/img_1077.jpg http://i649.photobucket.com/albums/u...6/img_1080.jpg Here's a link to the fs add. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...o-type-ms.html |
you're f'ing kidding me.
sigh. Fedex for sure won't be honoring the insurance because those were definitely not adequately packaged. |

I thought I'd seen it all, but nope....... And I have the complete "text thread" of our conversations, were he states that the Lady at FEDEX took extra time to put the cardboard on the fronts of the wheels, she said....his painters tape wouldn't stick:lol:. And you can see each rim has a zip tie with the bar code thing attached. When you ship ground.....packages, regularly drop 24 inches. {thumbup} |
time to go human hunting......
|
Man, that's sad. The two times I've bought wheels with mounted tires from Discount Tire Direct, UPS just left them outside my garage. Luckily I live in a decent neighborhood.

Hey, psss. are you for hire???? They came from G.A. . |
what in the gods name, I worked at Fedex for 12 years and those things were probably thrown around like basketballs
|
Haha that's funny. I couldn't stop laughing when I saw this thread. You should totally leave the cardboard on the wheels and do a photoshoot.
|
oooooh, that hurts. did u try calling it into fedex? u could tell them it is unacceptable and have them pick them up and return them...
|
lmao. in all honesty id probably cry if i saw that
|
You can't be serious...who the F is the clown that sent those? What a douche.

Refuse them. Not as described, not packaged properly. You'll get your money back. CC FTW
If the only liittle scrapes are on the inside of the rims. I'd say screw it if you really want them |
Sucks that they left the wheels without you signing for them. Otherwise, you could have refused and it wouldn't be your problem. I'd still see if they can be refused though, they weren't supposed to just leave them at the door.
