Hub centric rings
 

Hiya,

I need some hub-centric rings for the Evo. If any of you guys run them, whats the size you guys are using?

Also, which material would you recommend, plastic or... metal / whatever the hell they make these things out of?

And, where did you guys get em at? I've been looking through eBay and a couple of random wheel / tire websites.

Size varies with different wheels for the outer diameter of the centering ring. I'd recommend plastic over metal being that metal will corrode a lot faster than plastic. Even on stock wheels there's a lot of rust/corrosion on the hub.

tirerack sells metal ones, I'm not sure of the plastic.

Size depends on the type of wheel you are going to use.
Aluminum is the best.

Contact your wheel manufacturer or measure the bore of the wheel. Evo's themselves are a 67 FYI.

Id recommend plastic for almost all vehicles except ones that use super thin rings (ie:bimmers) because they have been known to 'melt' under certain circumstances.

I'm not sure if you have found this out, but I just got these and on the box it lists the hub bore as 73.1, the only difference are the one's I bought were +23 instead of +15. So you need to by 73.1 outer, 67.1 Inner I think.

stock size is 67.1 mm. I recently got AME wheels that had a 73.1 measurement. So basically, in my case, I needed a 73.1 to 67.1 mm hub centric ring.

Did you mount them yet? Do the +23's clear the brembos? I was lookin at the MB wheels and thought they'd make for a stylish winter wheel {thumbup}

Yep got them mounted they have plenty of clearance over the brakes. I had the stock MR tires switched over to see what kind of clearance was there before deciding on a winter/all season tire(I'm doing the same thing winter rims). With the stock tires 245/40 which I think look stretched, at full lock I only had about 3.5mm to 4mm of clearance between the tire and front wheel liner. So I'm trying to decide if I can squeeze a 255/40 tire for more sidewall and pot hole protection during the winter( I see why people go 265/35), but it will be really close or probably rub the liner at the front of the tires(255/40). They look pretty good though, probably more aggressive of an offset than I would have normally chosen but since there are only +15 and +23 in the 18x9.5 MB Battles it works.

most japanese wheels comes with 73mm hub bore(volk,advan,enkei etc). you need a hub centric ring 73mm to 67mm. get the aluminum if you can

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but both 67 and 67.10 were mentioned in this post... Which is correct??

Also my wheels are Volk TE-37, should it be 73 or 73.1?
