hey guys i have a 2 quick questions... first off this is my first car and i wanted to learn a few things bout tuning etc. and i didnt want a civic b/c that is all i see here... but anyways to the questions

1. the splash guard that covers the filter when i put the cai on... is it supposed to stay off or on???

2. when i turn it off should it make a sucking noise... or do i not have one of my rings tightened enough???

you should take off the splash gaurd because you will get more cold air into the filter, unless it rains a lot were you are you might want to think twice. my driver side is completely devoid of all the splash gaurds. and to answer your other question, yes it should make that sucking noise, that is normal. people might even think u have a turbo...k maybe not, but its normal.

at least take out the insert in the front bumper if you have'nt done that already, its blocking a lot of the air flow.

Leave splashguard on and remove insert. That will give you more than enough air.
