Getting a Good Deal?

Hi I just stoped by my local dealer today and looked at a 2004 EVO VIII in Silver with only the Sunroof, Leather package and they said that they would give it to me 200 over invoice. You think thats good? I only got that because I work at a Dealership and the sales man was like "Oh a fellow Salesman ok I can give you a good price" lol

I dont trust any dealer sorry bro, thats the way it is. they are there to make money and thats the bottom line.

The question is, can you live with the deal you were offered?

I don't think thats such a great deal. never pay invoice or $200, or any amount over. if they really want your business they will come down as far as you want. i paid $3000 less than invoive on my RA. it may be a battle but you have to be willing to fight for the price you want.

RA, yes you can get it under invoice. EVO, most dealerships have a mark-up because it is 'evclusive'.

This may be an odd question, but you are a salesman and are asking us if the price is good???

Im asking because Im a Ford Salesman not a Mitsubishi Salesman. Im just trying to figure out if you guys got as good of a deal or better. I mean this is a deal that we give customers at my work that grind us down pretty good so Im trying to figure out if this is what some people paid or got better deals.

And Yes Evo's are exclusive and yes it is a Evo, and yes it has a mark up of 1900 on it but since I was a sales man he just straight out said "Dont worry about that and the window ill get you it at Invoice plus 200.

FYI to you guys Invoice is what the dealership pays for it. 200.00 is for paying the sales man, Sales Manager, and Finance Manager. So really hes kinda giving it to me at cost. and so they can have a paycheck which by me seems fair. Everyone gotta make a living and I know this because Im in their shoes just with a Blue Oval Emblem and not a Mitsubishi one

yeah, that's decent.

just make sure you know what APR you qualify for (or get financing elsewhere, unless you're paying cash of course) and also make sure there aren't any hard-adds.

hard add = service contract, lo-jack, and all that other bull to the ish.

tax and licensing should be no more than roughly 11% of the purchase price.
