well, I think 4 12s, set up properly, would be enough to make a DEAD baby jesus cry. haha I wouldn't do it, but I will admit there's something cool-looking about a trunk full of subs.

I have one JL Audio 10W3v2 in my trunk and that's enough for me. All my days in high school sitting on top of subs in my car has pretty much made me deaf as ****. Heck I don't even crank my stereo up anymore, I like the sound of my exhaust note much better.

Get what you want, just don't blow your ear drums...you only have two.

if you want to weigh down your car like there's 4 people riding all the time, you might as well get a grown folks sub like this:

hey im 17 going to be a senior next year, I know a lot of people from monroe but they are all still in highschool

and my car is pushin aprox. 340whp so if the subs make it a lot slower ill just put a turbo upgrade or something along those lines, right?

i am assuming your parents are paying for everything either directly or indirectly, so may as well go with 1 sub and the turbo upgrade. that way your not weighing down your car and you'll be faster. just remember stereo equipment doesn't make you faster, nor does it make your car handle better. if your out to impress everyone (which is the ONLY reason you would put 4 subs in a car), start autocrossing, or track racing. everyone will be like "**** yo, that dUde races his car on the track all gran turismo style... fo shizzle!", and the skills gain from racing are far more valuable then making yourself deaf.

and if the sub is a must (i have one, but it's not in my car yet...), make it easy to take out for racing, and do it right. don't go out and buy 4 rockford punches because i could put out a cleaner sound with my one infinity KP. the amp is the key to making good sound. if your looking to vibrate your trunk lid off, then do what others have previously mentioned. the W7 with a 1000.1 amp will make you deaf. 4 cheap subs and a ****ty amp wont touch the W7 for power or volume.

Well if you can afford 4 subs why not do what i did 1 10" Digital Design the right amp nice sealed fiberglass box to further save weight and you'll have a nice looking, Hard pounding system last time went to a show was hitting 153 db with a 10". Love the look on other peoples faces when they see the lil 10 beat out there 3-4 kicker's and what not. Then again it is like some people say it's your car do what you want with it and most importantly have a **** load of fun doing it

Just curious, at 17, what 2 jobs allow you to afford an Evo with a full stereo build and a turbo kit?

I had 3 10w6's in my car back in 1996 when those were the baddest things out. In hindsite, I have no idea what I was thinking. The sole purpose of them was to boom other cars. I paid $1500+ to rattle other peoples cars. Now I'm half deaf.

Yeah man, like alot of people have already said- you don't need 4. If you get the right stuff, you can get the same amount of power/sound from 1 or 2. I had 2 10"s that bumped harder than my buddy's car that had 4 12"s
