Hey wassup fellas, figured i'd quit lurking around and say hi to everyone here. I'm planning on picking up a Evo VIII or IX this summer. I'm sorry to see my car go but every once in awhile you have to let things drift away. Oh well, i already have a buyer for my current car and was wondering if anyone in the Va area knows where i can get a good deal on a Evo. I went to hall mitsubishi and they are asking 40k for the Evo VIII. Would like to get something set in stone before i get rid of my -S.

later.

Welcome to Evom. $40k is a bit much for the VIII. You definitely need to shop around, but I'm sure someone on here will be able to help you out. Good luck shopping, and keep us updated.

thx for the post guys, feels like a pretty cool community. I called another dealership a couple mins ago and asked for the pricing and he said about 35k but wasnt sure how long it would take to get a MR in.

40k is 10k too much... If you're willing to let 40k go, then find an evo for 30k (shop around) and put in 10k in mods. You'll have the fastest car in VA beach

AHH another rsx owner coming to the Evo side, welcome to the forums man, im in florida and 40,000 for an evo is ridiculus, expect to pay around 30ish for a decent 05 evo.

This is way off topic, but donmeca... I finally saw an EB Evo in person. That color is amazing. Great choice

Lol, yeah. I've either seen or heard alot of rsx owners giving into the sti/evo8 would really like to get the evoIx but dont think i can wait for it to come out. When that first dealership told me 40k i was like hell w/ that i'll just go over there and get the new TL but then i found one for 35k. Gotta call the finance company about transferring my title.

Buy an 03 or 04 - I got mine for $22k. Spend the rest in mods and have an almost new 350+whp Evo for the price of a new one

alas, i was looking forward to getting my car in a week or two but just found out i'll be deploying. dayum the look. so looks like i'll just buy a $300 pos and pimp that for a little while and buy the evo 9 when i get back to the states. i see no reason the buy a new car and make payments on it while it just sits in a parking lot somewhere.
