Yes. But if your worrying about the rain then what you need is an air bypass valve. Im not sure if RRM offers one for the CAI, then again ive never looked. AEM does tho, for like an extra 60 or somthing.

for it to get hydrolocked, i believe the intake has to be almost fully submereged in water.

If you are worried about hydro lock, get the RMR intake. I have had it for over two years and I have yet to have any problems with it.

Just be carefully with air intake systems. I have the RMR and love the way it sounds and works. However, once installed I did notice a slight decrease in pickup. I had the car tuned for the intake with a through the mail flash and did not notice any real gains. I just placed the factory intake back on the car due to taking it in for service and must say the car is now idling smoother and seems to pickup faster. I do miss the sound of the intake though. Just my two cents. If I had to do it over again, I would save the money and buy a turboback first.

your 2 cents doesn't matter much, you didn't look to see that he's driving an ES. and buying a turbo-back exhaust would be much much more expensive, cause he'd have to buy the turbo kit first

on another note: this belongs in lancer general
