Depends on your age, driving history, and marital status.

I am 27, married with a perfect driving record. I am also a military officer going through USAA. My Evo, for full coverage and Alabama liability minimums was $60 with a $500 deductable.

Insurance co's finally have some data on EVOs. Everybody's premium went up because of it. I'd definitely call your agent and get a quote ahead of time.

Good Lord, no car is worth $4000 a year in insurance unless you are independently wealthy!

I am 31 married with one ticket on my record, no accidents and my 03 Evo is running me $58 per month with a $500 deductable and 100/300 coverage through State Farm. It's actually $2 per month less than my 2002 Maxima I just traded for my wife's car. Her 05 Galant is actually $75 I guess because it's 2 yrs newer.

I believe him, but they have 2 cars and that drives the price of insurance down. Do don't call BS. I believe you Dave!

It's no BS. We have 4 cars and life insurance. My Evo would've been $72 per month but my agent made some adjustments and made it my secondary car which dropped it down to the $58 premium. I didn't even ask her to do that. I have also been with the same agent since 1993 so they kind of take care of me with breaks.

Oh btw my first performance car was a 1987 Buick Grand National and I was paying $270 per month back in 1995(same agent) at the age of 21 with no tickets or accidents! So I have payed my dues over the years.

Last time I paid, it was $1162.68 for 6 months (which is about $194/mo). I'm 27 with 1 incident. I can't believe how much it costs to insure this car. When I first bought it, it had the same rate as a normal Lancer, so it was SUPER affordable. I knew it wouldn't last forever, but this is ridiculous...it's more than doubled.
