hi everybody as you can tell i am new here,the call me bizzarro (long story,maybe tell it later!)so i corrently own a vw gti ,but fell in love with the evo and oh well the rest is history,so i too am waiting for the next couple of months for the arrival or this super car,ok one question ...for now ,i know this car comes with a mivec ,but is it tuneable? thanks for such a great site, and for your patience with this rookie

 

That's the problem; no one knows yet. We'll all find out soon after the IX arrives and tuners get their hands on one...

 

BTW_ What is a MIVEC? I have been seeing it a lot around here.

 

haha mivec is mitsubishi's name for their variable valve timing (like honda's vtec)

 

I am sorry, but I dont know much about that stuff. What does that do?

 

 

 

It makes the muffler bearings quieter. and you dont need blinker fluid.

but yea the mivec is like a vtec.. it add more gas to the car once the mivec kicks in, like for example on the lancer ralliart (2.4L Mivec), the mivec kicks in at about i'd say.. 3400 rpm's and will add more gas and basically gives the engine a kick in the ***, in a literal sense

 

It should be tuneable. WORKS probably working on it right now. Most of the tuners will go out of the country to get one and start early!
