It's Finally official... :)

***PICTURES ON PAGE 3***

Finally, I can officially say I am an Evo owner!!! And boy does it feel great. I purchased a 2005 Apex Silver Evolution 8. I got a great deal on it thats why I got an Evo 8 left over and not a 9. I got it for 31,414.00 and that was with the SSL package. But I have to wait until next saturday to pick it up because I go away to school and its impossible to get back home until the weekends. So I will post pics ASAP...Anyways just wanted to let everyone know...now other that the stuff in my sig what should be my first mod...suggestions?? Later Everyone

Congrats!
If you paid 31,414.00 OTD for an 05 with SSL don't worry you got a fair price. Enjoy your car (especially the damn HID's that us non-SSL owners want so bad). Anyway congrats on your new car.

he got an AWESOME deal on an SSL, I paid 32k WITHOUT TTL, you kicked ***, and I pat your back in congrats. . .anyone on here that thinks you can get an SSL cheaper than a stock EVO (or at the same price as the 8's are going these days) is plain stupid. . . .

i like to recommend a boost gauge as a first mod
but a tbe is the best bang for your buck when it comes to the ever wanted hp

if u have tons of money then it doesn't matter if u got a good deal...but if you are concerned about money, then i will say you didn't get a good deal unless the 32K is OTD....first few mod IMO shld be: TBE, drop in filter, MBC, boost gauge, dynoflash

man the more i read the more i realize i got a smoking deal.

about 8 month ago i bought a '03 EVO rally red, with 60 miles on it for 24,500. it was one of two left in tulsa, they were having a hard time selling it. i took a money order for 21,500, waved it in there face, and charged 3500 to my credit card.

the car is already paid off.. currently i have 6000 miles on it.

later i saw a WW SSL '04 evo, and i was quoted 28k out the door for that car. it had like 10 miles on it. this was about 5-6 months ago.

That is not a good deal on an 05 now that 06s are out. People paid less than that 5 months ago, but you still got a better deal than I did when I paid MSRP the day my MR rolled off the truck, so you're fine.

You should get none of the mods in your sig and no, you shouldn't start with an intake and BOV. This is your first warning:

well ive only made two mods since ive bought my car.

first one was a boost gauge.

second (which i installed day before yesterday) is a manual boost controller

third will be an exhaust. which im saving up for now.

then will be a flash. and then finito. ill be done.

will sell it after a few years, and go for the C6 Z06, once the ridiculous mark-ups calm down.
