Hmmm.. Dealers are confusing me ..

alright, heres the deal..

I wanna buy an Evo 8. I called all around the state to find a NEW 2005 . Finally after a few days of searching I fnid a couple dealers with some in stock. The first dealer says that they are selling the 05 for 34K (has SSL BTW).. This is not including any dealer incentives. So I call the other dealership and they just sold the last 05 HOWEVER, they do have an Evo 9 . They are only asking $34.900 . Mitsubishi is running a deal for free gas for 1 year. You have a choice to take an $1800 gas card, or take $1800 off the price. So now I sit here, and become more and more confused... should I break the dealers ***** on the 05 and try to get a Good deal ? Or should I try my luck with the IX and deal with it not having the SSL package ?

Don't let the dealer control your outcome. Look you should be able to get an 05 for close to invoice not including incentive. And you better not pay more than MSRP for an Evo IX.

You can get a 05 Evo VIII with SSL for $32,250 + a $2000 gas card.

If you need help puting this dealer strait let me know

please ... I would love some insight. The dealer that I am speaking with about the 2005 has a reputation for dealing well with customers.

you should get the IX unless they give you a good deal for a 2005 as being "leftovers"

If i were you i'd decide what is best for you. I had to make a decision the other day also. I had to choose from an EVO 8 gsr or an Evo 8 SSL. The reg GSR had hail damage but was repaired by the dealer and they will warranty their worksmanship for the life of the vehicle. The SSL evo was pretty nice but the dealer wanted to play games with me. They told me they will not sell it for invoice because they know what kind of car they had and that someone was willing to pay invoice for it already. They had some 9's in their lot also so I asked them why would someone buy a 05 when they could buy the 06 for the same price. They wanted to play too many games with me so I just told them if you can beat or get close to what the other dealership is offering then i'll take your car if not give me my keys and i'll leave. Good luck with your decision because the EVO rocks. Totally blows my old SI out of the water.

the free gas is for only 05 models. you can either take $1000 rebate, or $1800 in gas, or 0% for 60months. Where are you located at? We are selling 05's with SSL for 32,500 before any rebates or incentives. If you are near MD let me know and I may be able to get you one. Don't let the dealers screw you out of money like that. If you have any questions you can PM me.
