Thoughts on my upgrade path?

Ok so I'm coming from a 20g sti and I'm starting to get bored with my IX's power output. My car is currently bone stock, what do you guys think aboout these mods:

*RS-R 80mm downpipe
*Greddy 80mm Titanium exhaust
*EcuteK Flash
*Walbro fuel pump
*Perrin intake w/ K&N filter
*Injen fmic pipes
*Turbosmart E-boost II EBC @ 22 psi (peak) 20 psi till redline
*Stock turbo manifold
*Defi 60mm boost gauge w/ carbon fiber pod

So after all my searching I have come up with the above listed mods, I'm I missing anything? Would a port & polish job on the stock turbo net me any gains? also how well does the stock wastegate hold boost, should I upgrade/port it? Can I expect 380 whp from these mods?

I would add the test pipe to the mix, but if you can't cause of emission, I understand that. I wouldn't expect 380 whp from those mods. Maybe with cams and alky kit. Maybe around 330 - 350 whp whit those mods.

Those mods are ok, I guess, if you're looking to spend as much money as possible, but if I had a IX, I'd do a much cheaper 3" TBE, skip the intake, skip the pipes, get just a lower IC pipe, skip the fuel pump since it apparently is upgraded from the VIII, and get an MBC instead of an EBC. I'm not sure what you mean by "stock turbo manifold." That just means the stock turbo manifold, which every Evo already has. What did you really mean by this? As for your other question, I think you would get very nice gains by porting/jetcoating the stock turbine/o2/mani via Buschur. The IX turbine housing is the same as the VIII, so they can do that for you right away...

380whp? Hell no, where did you get that number?

exactly. 380 whp is pretty recockulous, but what exactly did you mean by "stock turbo manifold"? well if you are going to use the stock one, why did you put it in your mod list?

Then it's not a stock turbo manifold...it's an aftermarket header or exhaust manifold. I wouldn't recommend either of them.

lol I'm not looking to spend a lot of money but I do like the TBE I listed above, I love the sound it makes.

Why no on the EBC?

So 380 whp is not possible with those mods+ dynojet+ 94 oct fuel?

Screw emissions I forgot to add the test pipe to my list. I'm thinking cams but not just yet.

You didn't list a TBE unless that RSR DP is a one-piece design that includes a test pipe to replace the cat. Sound is sound, man. Tons of combinations can make just about the same sound. Would you really pay $900 for a titanium cat-back just to make a certain sound? Or would you pay $550 for an entire TBE that also makes a nice, deep sound, but that isn't exactly like the one you mentioned? It depends on what's most important to you, but choosing an exhaust like that just because you like the sound when you heard it once is questionable.

EBC is fine, but they are more complicated and far more expensive. Again, up to you...personal preference.

I'm not saying it's not possible, but 380whp is a crapload of power. You act like it's some normal amount of power to achieve, but I'm not sure where that idea came from. It would be a shame if newbie IX owners just suddenly started thinking they can make mega power with few mods as if it's some normal thing. To get 380 on a previous 05, you'd need cams, alky, an LICP, and possibly a header along with an o2 housing. The IXs have shown they can make more power with less mods, but 380 is a bit unrealistic. If you got 350whp from the above mods, you'd have to be extremely happy. That would still be way more than any 05.

$900 seems like a steal since I paid 2k+ for the full exhaust system on my sti.
I'll probably skip the ebc in favor of a hallman mbc, I just like the fact that with the ebc there are 3 different programed boost settings that I could easily change while driving.

lol I was just tossing around numbers when I posted 380 whp, I guess a more realistic goal would be 340whp/345whq which I'm more than fine with.

Wow, no wonder people think it's ok to spend $900 for a cat-back. I haven't spent 2k total on my parts, so there's no way I'd spend 2k on an exhaust.

If you are going with an MBC, then I suggest the Forge UNOS. It's the same price as the Hallman Pro, but is a little bit better.

Yes, 340whp/wtq is much more realistic and definitely attainable.

It's your only choice right now as far as flashes go. It's expensive, but it works.
